Summer Camp at The PlayGarden

The PlayGarden offers a fully inclusive nature-based summer camp experience for kids with disabilities and their typically developing peers, ages 3.5-21. Camps are Monday-Thursday, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm. With a high staff to camper ratio, we are able to support every child in their quest for adventure and play!

Parent Testimonial

“The PlayGarden just feels right. Other day camps have required a lot of work to support Alex and help him be able to have a good time. Here it was easy. I didn’t have to explain about his wheelchair, his communication device, or his disability. We didn’t feel self conscious, out of place, or rushing to keep up. I was impressed by the quality of the people working with the kids. They really engaged the kids, and supported and expanded on their play. Thank you!”

2022 PROGRAM FEES

The PlayGarden is here for EVERY child who wants to play! No family is turned away, because of financial restrictions and we need your help to make that happen. Therefore, our program fees operate on a sliding scale. We ask each family to consider what they can contribute to help cover the cost of camp. If you’re able, please consider paying the full cost of camp: $525. If the subsidized rate of $400 is accessible, please pay that. If $400 is out of reach, please contact us to request a partial or full scholarship. We also accept DDA and SPS recovery services to pay for camp. See below for more information. Once you are confirmed a spot in camp, payment in full will be due by June 6th.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION

If your child is unable to attend a session of camp, please give us as much notice as possible. We will make every attempt to fill the spot with another family from our waitlist. If we are unable to fill the spot, we will not be able to issue a refund.

SCHOLARSHIPS, DDA, & SPS RECOVERY SERVICES

  1. You may apply for a partial or full scholarship by submitting a letter of request along with your application forms. In the letter, please include the specific amount of scholarship funds requested, as well as a description of your circumstances.
  2. If you plan to use DDA respite funds to pay for camp program fees please include the caseworker’s name and email address on the form or in the email with your form to camp@childrensplaygarden.org.
